XPart technicians boost New MINI expertise with diagnostic training
XPart AutoService technicians are adding value to their high quality, affordable service offering by gaining advanced knowledge of New MINI diagnostic repairs
XPart AutoService centre technicians are adding value to their service offering for New MINI by expanding their knowledge of New MINI diagnostic repairs. Members of the network recently attended the first in a series of training courses on Autologic’s OE-equivalent diagnostic equipment for New MINI. The course provides an in-depth overview of the capabilities of the Autologic equipment, allowing delegates to gain valuable hands-on experience of the product and improve their knowledge of its diagnostic capabilities.
“By completing the course, delegates gain a thorough understanding of common faults and service functions relating to the New MINI R50 series,” explains Don Lindsay, service marketing manager, XPart. “We hope this will enable XPart New MINI specialists to use the Autologic product to its full potential when servicing or repairing New MINI, increasing the value of their high quality, affordable service option as motorists continue to seek out value for money servicing.”
The first of the new training courses was held at the Diagnos.co.uk head office in Oxfordshire. Course tutors discussed all aspects of the equipment’s usage, ranging from commonly reported faults to additional features such as programming individual drivers’ keys with specific locking functions. With dealer-level capabilities, Autologic’s diagnostic tool allows rapid fault diagnosis together with a thorough interrogation of the vehicle’s electronics, using just one piece of equipment.
“The training was a useful team-building exercise for our technicians and has significantly increased their knowledge of New MINI diagnostic repairs,” comments Peter Mason, proprietor, RW Services. “The expertise gained from the course means a speedier and more accurate diagnosis of faults and will save us a lot of time in quoting for work and carrying out repairs.”
